At this precise moment you can’t even say that our own Union is Old School Proud. Old School Proud was a slogan and a legacy that you were proud to be a part of. Once upon a time being a Teamster stood for something that was the envy of others. It was a beacon of respect that others would strive to obtain. You were part of one of the most powerful organizations in the world. If you happened to be around back than that legacy was instilled in you. It was a part of your heritage, your blood line. The Union is nothing like that today. The Union has become big business today. It has fat cats sitting at the top worrying only about a big pay check. They have lost sight of who they work for and the purpose of a Union. It seems they don’t want to get off their big lazy asses and do anything to earn that big pay check. They will sell out the members in a heartbeat to keep the cash flowing. It used to be a Brotherhood now it is every man or member for himself. There are still a few Old School Proud Teamsters but they are a dying breed I am ashamed to say. So... this site will be a good fit for you if you are one of those few Old School Proud Teamsters that are still left in our union today who's willing to stand up and fight for what you believe in... if not... you may want to consider joining a forum such as Truckingboards where the moderator's cater to the weak and timid.
